We thought a few Frequently Asked Questions might be of use to you. We'll add more as necessary if we get more groups of questions.

Q: What is Lexington IT all about?

A: Providing "all the IT you need"! If you have an IT-related need, give us a call and we'll try to help.

Q: What do I need to get a web presence?

A: You need three things:

  • A domain name. This is the .co.uk or .com that you often hear about. We will find you something suitable but don't hang around as they're sold on a first come, first served basis. If you were to think of it like building, this would be the address.
  • Some web hosting. You can have your own server(s) or rent some space on ours. Using the property analogy, this is the land where you're going to build. You can buy it outright or you can rent it from someone else.
  • The website itself. You can build it yourself or we can do it for you. It's like the building that you've put on the land. It can be anything from a tiny cottage to a huge business park!

Q: Why is LexSupport Standard a come to you service when Support Advance isn't?

A: The LexSupport Standard product is a one-off call-out. LexSupport Advantage is a longer-term relationship where we help you to keep your IT running. To do this we use a variety of methods which may mean that we don't need to visit you to fix a problem.
